Today, while looking through some photos of a Pedasi walking tour, I realized why living in Panama would appeal to many people. It’s a small, quiet town with a library, an adorable brick oven pizza joint, and only two gas stations. It has everything that you could want in small town living. But it also has a hidden reason to come here.
I’m not talking about the amazing barbeque at “Gringo Joe’s” restaurant (though I’m told it’s delicious!) or the beauty of the church in town, I’m talking about Playa Venao.
This small town is hiding a huge secret and it’s a surfer’s paradise. Pedasi is considered prime Panama real estate for this reason. Many people call it the most consistent surf spot in the country of Panama. It’s an amazingly beautiful crescent shaped bay with two open air bar/restaurants right there on the beach. A perfect spot for those wanting world class surfing. It offers great swells all year long. You can even learn to surf here as the waves near the outside of the crescent are milder than those in the middle.
It might be a quiet small town, but it’s got it’s secrets. It’s up to you to find the amazing places around Pedasi like Playa Venao!
